Topic 2012: Regional Trade Agreements

Can RTAs be seen as a relief to the multilateral trading system or will they be seen as the kiss of death? A second key issue was the sustainable trade, where we linked the debate to the topic of regionalism. Is local trade substantially better? We further discussed whether free trade and sustainability are contradictory or maybe complementary?
