Topic 2016: Government Procurement Agreements

The Government Procurement Agreement commits members to certain core disciplines regarding transparency, competition and good governance in one of the most important and growing areas of the economic activity of any country. It covers the procurement of goods, services and capital infrastructure by public authorities. At present, the Agreement has 17 parties comprising 45 WTO members. Another 30 WTO members participated in the GPA Committee as observers.
